World Z-inspection® Conference e affidabilitá dell’Intelligenza Artificiale

Partners dell’iniziativa il Global Campus of Human Rights Venice Urban Lab

Dopo due giorni di lavori in cui si sono confrontati una sessantina di partecipanti da tutto il mondo, è stato redatto il seguente documento finale:

The first World Z-Inspection® Conference in Venice took place on March 10 and 11 at the Ateneo Veneto in Venice Italy.

The interdisciplinary meeting welcomed over 60 international scientist and experts from AI, ethics, human rights and domains like healthcare, ecology, business or law.

The main message of the conference was the need of a Mindful Use of AI (#MUAI).

At the conference the practical use of the Z-Inspection® process to assess real use cases for the assesment of trustworthy AI were presented.
Among them :

– The Pilot Project: “Assessment for Responsible Artificial Intelligence” together with Rijks ICT Gilde – part of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK)- and the province of Fryslân (The Netherlands);

– The assessment of the use of AI in times of COVID-19 at the Brescia Public Hospital (“ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia“).

Two panel discussions on “Human Rights and Trustworthy AI” and “How do we trust AI?“ provided an interdisciplinary view on the relevance of data and AI ethics in the human rights and business context. Companies that are leading the way in the responsible use of AI, such as Zurich Insurance, Merck, Roche and Credit Suisse were sharing insights on how to inspire trust in a digital society in order to best serve customers and society at large.

Asked for the future of data ethics, Lisa Bechtold, Global Lead AI Assurance & Data Governance, Zurich Insurance, highlighted: “As most recent advances in AI such as generative AI are transforming our society, way of living and work (#futureofwork), the ethics of data & AI will be one of the key themes guiding our future to protect human rights and a human-centric approach to technology overall. This clearly illustrates the importance of interdisciplinary high-profile events like this 1st Global Z-Inspection® Conference.“

This premiere World Z-Inspection® Conference was held in cooperation with Global Campus of Human Rights and Venice Urban Lab and was supported by Arcada University of Applied Science, Merck, Roche and Zurich Insurance Company.

A conference reader with contributions from the speakers will be available April 1st at z-inspection.org
